If you feel like your body is asking for a break before the busier autumn season begins, you're in exactly the right place!

Summer's busyness — travel, parties, late dinners, and a shifted daily rhythm — has likely been energizing for our minds, but possibly much harder on our bodies. So a small pause is the best thing you can choose for yourself and your digestion right now.

From August 27–30, I'm inviting you once again to a free fasting challenge. Four days in which you get the chance to step outside your usual eating rhythm and give your digestion — and through it, your mind — a real rest.

If you've never fasted before, don't worry: there's a separate, gentler version for beginners.

"This wasn't just a fast. It was a meeting with myself. For many, the first experience of its kind — and a completely new beginning."

This time the challenge coincides with the full moon (Aug 28) — known to many as a time that supports cleansing and new beginnings. We'll use that natural energy to support the journey.

Two paths — choose the one that suits your body

Listen to your body. You can always choose a shorter period — the recommended minimum is 24 hours, and the maximum is 84 hours, i.e. three days and four nights.

For the experienced

Old hands

If you've fasted at least once before, we'll go together on a three-day water fast.

For beginners

First-timers

If this is your first time fasting, we'll do it with green smoothies — a gentler introduction to a similar experience.

If you choose the smoothie fast, you'll also need a decent blender that can handle celery.

Why am I the right guide for you?

Lifestyle Engineer · Master WILDFIT Coach

I've been through all of this myself. As a child I experienced severe bullying at school, which led to years of depression and low energy. In 2020, I decided to try changing my diet. A seemingly small step that sparked a much bigger change. Today I'm healthier and happier than ever, and it's through my own experience that I feel called to help others on this same journey.

I'm a unique blend of engineering and healthy-lifestyle coaching. By day I'm a licensed mechanical engineer and the managing director of an engineering firm — and drawing on my two passions, engineering and a health-supportive lifestyle, I'm here to support you in making conscious food choices in your life.

Frequently asked questions

Here are answers to the questions that come up most often before joining the challenge.

How do I know if fasting is right for me if I've never done it before?

Honestly, you can't really know until you try it. :)

If it's your first time, or a water fast feels like too big a step to start with, the challenge also offers a beginner-friendly option using green smoothies. That way you're not going completely without food, but you still get to experience a conscious break from your usual eating rhythm, with support the whole way through.

You don't have to start with a water fast right away. What matters is listening to your body and choosing the pace that's right for you.

If I join the challenge, do I have to complete all three days?

No, you don't.

Fasting always happens according to how you feel. I'll be there to support you throughout the journey with daily calls, and if you have questions, doubts, or aren't sure how to proceed, you can always ask.

The goal isn't to grind out three days at any cost — it's to go through the experience while listening to your body.

PS! If you have health conditions that need attention, take medication, or need separate medical monitoring for any other reason, please consult your doctor or another suitable healthcare professional before joining the fasting challenge.

What happens if I stop the fast early?

Nothing bad happens — in the group I'll give guidance both on how to ease into the fast and on how to come out of it gently.

So you're supported with the information you need even if you decide to end the fast early. You can move through the whole journey at your own pace, guided by how you feel.

Do we drink water during the fast, or is it a break from both food and drink?

We definitely drink water.

Getting enough fluids is important during fasting, and I'll give more detailed guidance on what, when, and how much to drink during the challenge calls.

Do I have to take part in the Facebook group and the calls?

Nothing about this journey is mandatory.

That said, it's worth knowing that the more you choose to take part in the calls and the Facebook group, the more information, support, and confidence you'll get to complete the whole journey.

The Facebook group and the calls give you the chance to:

  • share your own experience;
  • hear other participants' experiences;
  • ask questions live;
  • get support in moments of doubt or when questions come up;
  • feel that you're not doing this journey alone.

Most important of all is that you choose the way of participating that works for you.

What if I start to feel unwell during the fast?

Always listen to your body.

The goal of the challenge isn't to fast at any cost or to prove that you can definitely last three days. If how you feel tells you it's time to stop, then that's what you do.

I'll give you guidance on how to break the fast safely and gently, and you can bring your questions to me throughout the whole challenge.

If you experience strong or concerning symptoms, stop the fast and, if needed, contact a healthcare professional.

Please note: I am not a doctor and do not give medical advice. If you take medication and/or have health conditions that require consulting a doctor before choosing to fast, please do so. By registering, you confirm that you take full responsibility for your own choices and your own health.

Be a friend to your body and give it a rejuvenating break.
